Congressman Landry Urges Residents to Follow Evacuation Orders

Amid St. Martin Parish's announcement that a mandatory evacuation of the Butte Larose, Happy Town, and Sherburne Wildlife Management area - including Highway 3177, Herman Dupuis Road and La. 975 - will be going into effect on Saturday, Congressman Jeff Landry (R, LA-03) continued to urge his constituents to heed the warnings and get out of harm's way.
"As I have said for weeks since we first knew the floods were coming and as I reinforced last night at my town hall meeting, please listen to the warnings of officials. If you are in the affected area where an evacuation order has been issued, please do so. We must continue to prepare for the worst and pray for the best," said Landry.
