Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart Applauds Nomination of Goss as New CIA Director

WASHINGTON-Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) today praised President George W. Bush's choice to nominate Congressman Porter Goss (R-FL) as the next director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

"Congressman Goss has served his nation well and will continue to do so in this vital position," Diaz-Balart said. "He has a wealth of experience due to his years as a CIA officer and more recently as the Chair of the House Select Committee on Intelligence. He has strong support from both sides of the aisle and is clearly ideal for this position."
