I was satisfied to hear this week that justice was accomplished by the death of Osama bin Laden at the hands of American forces. The terrorism bin Laden and his al-Qaeda associates perpetrated against the American people on 9/11 was pure evil. Justice is not always as quick as we desire, but it is certain.
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the members of our military and intelligence community, not only for their role in the week's events, but for their dedication every day. I also commend President Obama for the success of this operation, and former President George W. Bush for his past leadership in combating terror as well.
America must remain vigilant in our efforts and resolved in our purpose to combat the elements of radical Islam; however, the events this week should be celebrated as a tremendous victory of freedom over evil.
