No Taxpayer Funding on Abortion

Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) released the following statement today after House passage of H.R. 3, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act. Congressman Griffith is a co-sponsor of this legislation, which would prohibit taxpayer funds from being used to perform abortions or for health benefit plans that include coverage of abortions:

"The federal government has no business subsidizing abortion. American citizens should not be forced to finance a procedure that many consider morally wrong. Accordingly, I will continue to fight to ensure abortion is not supported by your taxpayer dollars."
