Today, Louisiana Congressman Bill Cassidy M.D., issued the following statement in response to President Obama's budget.

"For hardworking Americans, the budget debate isn't about politics; it is about freeing our nation from job-crushing debt so our economy can get back on track. President Obama says it is time to live within our means. That President Obama did not offer ideas as to how to address the debt aside from raising taxes is a tremendous disappointment.

"My colleagues in the House and I have begun an honest, fact-based conversation with the American people. We must all hope that the President moves beyond rhetoric to join us."
