Location: Washington, D.C

U.S.Congressman Sean Duffy (WI-07), a member of the Financial Services Committee and the Joint Economic Committee, issued the following statement regarding the budget deal reached tonight to avoid a government shutdown:

"While I am relieved that we were able to prevent a government shutdown, our hard work is only just beginning. The nation faces very serious problems and tough choices will be required. I applaud Speaker Boehner on his work in securing this deal. I look forward to working with my colleagues from both sides of the aisle and both chambers of Congress as we continue our national conversation on how we chart a course to economic growth, sustainable jobs and renewed prosperity."
