Stutzman Agrees to Short Term Funding Bill

Tonight, Congressman Marlin Stutzman (R-IN-03) voted for H.R. 1363, the Additional Continuing Appropriations Act. The Continuing Resolution (CR) would provide discretionary funding for government operations through April 15, 2011, and reduce spending by $2 billion from current spending levels. The bill would provide short-term bridge funding for continued government operations while a bill to provide funding for the remainder of FY 2011 is considered in the House and Senate.

"I voted tonight to avert a government shutdown and ensure our servicemen and servicewomen are paid as they serve in harm's way. As a member of the House Committee on the Budget, I hope my vote clears the way for Chairman Paul Ryan's 2012 budget- The Path to Prosperity. This budget cuts trillions in spending and offers a roadmap for fiscal responsibility and job creation."
