Courtney Announces Free Online Tax Filing Resources

Congressman Joe Courtney today urged constituents to take advantage of free online tax preparation services as the April 18 deadline approaches. These online services are free and safe for constituents to use and are designed to streamline the filing process.

"Through a public-private partnership between the IRS and leading tax software companies, these free resources are available to help simplify the filing process and allow constituents to file properly and on time. In addition to helping constituents navigate the process, some of these resources will allow tax refunds to be returned to constituents in as little as 10 days. This is an opportunity for individuals and families to get help with the sometimes daunting process of filing taxes by putting it into the hands of experts."
