Chairman Graves Statement on February Unemployment Report

House Small Business Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) has released the following statement in response to the U.S. Department of Labor's latest jobs report that the rate has slightly decreased to 8.9% and 192,000 new jobs were added in February:

"Today's slightly improved unemployment numbers are a welcome sight after two years of rates at or above 9%, however we still have a long way to go before businesses truly regain the confidence needed to expand and create jobs."

"House Republicans are committed to erasing the uncertainty by embracing fiscal responsibility, less government and tax relief for our job creators so that our families can get back to work. As our new House majority strives to remove barriers for job creation in this 112th Congress, we hope that the Senate majority and President will join us."
