Huizenga, Financial Services Committee to Meet With Bernanke, Geithner, & 2nd District Constituent This Week

As they continue to promote economic recovery and job creation, the Financial Services Committee has scheduled a full slate of hearings and bill mark ups this week that will feature testimony starting today from the U.S. Treasury Secretary, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, and the President of Gerber FCU, who is also a constituent of Rep. Bill Huizenga, MI-02.

On Wednesday, John Buckley, the President/CEO of Gerber Federal Credit Union located in Fremont, Michigan, and a constituent of Huizenga's, will testify at the Financial Institutions Subcommittee.

Members of the Committee will have the opportunity to question witnesses at the hearings.

Huizenga said, "The Financial Services Committee must work quickly to spur economic recovery and create jobs for people back home who would like to hear about more employment opportunities and less about government bailouts."
