Cornyn Statement On Space Shuttle Discovery's Final Mission

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, issued the following statement regarding Space Shuttle Discovery's return from her final mission today at Kennedy Space Center:

"Today marks the final curtain call for our nation's most traveled and longest-flying space shuttle, Discovery. She has led our shuttle fleet on return to flight missions on two occasions, logged more than 148 million miles, carried 245 astronauts, and completed 39 missions. Discovery truly represents the ingenuity, innovation, and determination of the American spirit. It has been one remarkable ride, and she has made all Texans proud. I salute all of the fine men and women who have supported and flown on Discovery over the past 27 years."
