U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, DDS (AZ-01) on the second anniversary of the "stimulus" bill:
"Two years ago today we were made a lot of promises- if Congress passed over a trillion dollars in new spending we'd all have more jobs and more prosperity. We were promised "shovel ready" infrastructure. That is not what happened. Today our government is at a crossroads. We can no longer try to spend and borrow our way out of recession; rather, we must live within our means and learn to budget. We must tackle government's spending addiction. That is why I am working with my Republican colleagues to cut over $100 billion from the budget and find solutions to truly balance our budget."
