Quigley Meets with Ukrainian Foreign Minister

Yesterday, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko in the United States Capitol to address concerns voiced by the Ukrainian community in Quigley's district. Quigley discussed the need to support civil liberties in Ukraine, as well as limiting Russian influence.
"This is a time of transition in Ukraine, and I want to ensure the nation's government is moving forward toward a more open and free society rather than backward to a time of fewer liberties," said Quigley.
Foreign Minister Gryshchenko indicated he would relay the conversation to Kiev.
Quigley is a member of the Congressional Ukrainian Caucus.
