Today, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar released the following statement regarding Egypt:

"Today is a historic day for the Egyptian people and the first step in the transition to a democratic government. The Egyptian people must have the freedom to determine their country's future, and the United States must work with all parties to support this peaceful process. I will continue working with Minnesota families that have relatives in the country to ensure that they remain safe."
