U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) issued the following statement in response to the January unemployment report:

"There is nothing to celebrate in these jobs numbers. Last month marks the 21st consecutive month that the unemployment rate has been at or above 9 percent. The American people continue to wait for the Obama Administration and Congressional Democrats to embrace policies that create jobs and spur economic growth."
