Louisiana Congressman Bill Cassidy will join the Livingston Parish Tea Party Thursday, February 3rd for a Health Care Summit at Denham Springs Junior High School.
The Summit comes on the heals of a bipartisan vote in the House of Representatives to repeal the health care law enacted last year, and will explore the economic and medical consequences of the law, which raises taxes by $569.2 billion and creates over 150 boards, bureaucracies, and commissions to regulate medical care.
"Only if Americans stay engaged will last year's health care bill be replaced with one that puts patients first, not Washington bureaucracy. I appreciate the Tea Party for organizing this meeting and for their commitment to defending patients against Washington."
