Cassidy Statement On Repeal Vote

Louisiana Congressman Bill Cassidy issued the following statement after the House of Representatives voted to pass H.R.2, which provides for the complete repeal of President Obama's health care law:

"We have to be rescued from this law. Bottom line: it creates huge new bureaucracies that will drive up costs and take power away from patients. The key to reform is empowering patients to lower costs, and by so doing expanding access to quality care. Repeal is the first step to achieving reform."
