Date: Jan. 19, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

Congressman Austin Scott (GA-08) joined 245 of his colleagues in a bi-partisan vote to repeal ObamaCare. Congressman Scott was a co-sponsor ofH.R. 2, Repealing the Job-Killing Health Care Law Act. He released the following statement after voting for the bill:

"ObamaCare is a prime example of how government mandates are hurting our economy and making it harder for our small businesses to create jobs. Tonight, we're repealing this 2,000 page job-killing bill. Tomorrow, House Republicans will take a necessary step to replace it with a 2 page bill that will work to provide common-sense, market-based solutions. We are committed to reducing health care costs and expanding access for more Americans."
