Issue Position

Congresswoman DeLauro did not support the authorization to use force in Iraq and has consistently called for a phased, responsible redeployment out of the country. She believes that our troops, along with their families, have sacrificed so much and have performed magnificently in implementing the mission they were given in Iraq. They deserve to be honored accordingly.

Congresswoman DeLauro supports the U.S.-Iraq agreement to redeploy U.S. forces out of Iraq and the Obama Administration's efforts to responsibly implement that agreement and end the war. She supports the end of the combat mission and believes that it is critical we remove all of our troops by the end of 2011.
