Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) offered the following statement in response to the tragic shootings in Tucson, Arizona, at an event being held by Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ).
"I am absolutely shocked and devastated by this senseless tragedy. Congresswoman Giffords is a great friend and an exceptional public servant, and I am praying for her. My thoughts are with her family, her staff, her constituents, and all the loved ones of those who were victims of this terrible act of violence."
