Buchanan To Share Holiday Wishes With Wounded Soldiers

Congressman Vern Buchanan (FL-13) announced today an opportunity for residents of Florida's 13th District to share holiday wishes with U.S. soldiers wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. Buchanan will be collecting and delivering Christmas and Hanukkah cards for men and women currently being treated in the spinal cord injury unit at the James A. Haley Medical Center in Tampa, Florida.

"The holidays can be a tough time for U.S. soldiers who are away from home, including those in our military hospitals "said Buchanan. "I encourage you to remember those in our armed forces who have sacrificed their health on our behalf by sharing your holiday wishes with them."

If you would like to share your holiday wishes with wounded soldiers, please send or bring a card in an unsealed envelope with a brief message and signature to either of Congressman Buchanan's district offices by Thursday, December 16, 2010.
