Rep. Gus Bilirakis (FL-09) issued the following statement after voting against continued spending and stimulus measures:

"While we can't increase taxes during difficult economic times, the American people want us to cut spending and stop adding to our deficit," Bilirakis said. "It's vital that we create tax certainty and stability, but I could not support this so-called compromise because it will continue to cripple our nation's fiscal position."
