Latest Victim in Federal Government's Power Grab: The Internet

Statement

Date: Dec. 21, 2010
Location: Washington, DC

Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-Fla.) today issued the following statement on the Federal Communication Commission's decision to regulate the Internet via "net neutrality" rules:

"It's clear that Americans want a less intrusive federal government, yet the FCC flies in the face of those who voted for change this past November, and goes behind Congress' back to implement this job-killing regulation," Bilirakis said. "This administration has taken control of health care, banks, student loans, the auto industry and now the Internet, and I'll continue to fight this federal power grab in the 112th Congress."
