Diaz-Balart: Saying You Have a Plan Doesn't Make It So
WASHINGTONIn his acceptance speech on Thursday, and in subsequent interviews, John Kerry has repeatedly said that "saying there are weapons of mass destruction doesn't make it so."
In response, Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-Fla.) today said, "Saying you have a plan for Iraq doesn't make it so. Saying you are better able to fight terrorism doesn't make it so. Saying you will balance the budget while promising massive spending increases doesn't make it so.
"The fact is, President Bush is a man of action and has delivered on his word. Kerry loves to talk, but has little in his 20-year Senate record to show for it - except for his attempts to cut defense and intelligence spending and to raise taxes."
