Senator Murkowski Releases State Voter Guide Insert

Senior Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) today released her voter guide information insert.

Senator Murkowski filed her formal paperwork for a write-in candidacy on Oct. 13th, prior to the start of early and absentee voting. She asked to be included in the guide when she announced her write-in effort September 17th, but under state law write-in candidates who file after the July publication copy deadline are not permitted to have space in the official guide that is mailed to all Alaska households before the General Election.

"It is unfortunate that State law does not allow for the inclusion of write-in candidates in the voter guide, but Alaskans know of my accomplishments in the Senate over the past eight years and have multiple means of learning about my positions," said Lisa Murkowski.

She noted that information on her and her positions and accomplishments are available from her campaign website, www.LisaMurkowski.com; and from her official U.S. Senate website, www.murkowski.senate.gov regarding official actions only.
