Issue Position

As legislators we have to balance the budget, and raising taxes should not be the solution; decreasing spending should be. We need to categorize services provided by the State as essential and non-essential services. All essential services need to be reviewed to determine if we are using the best delivery model and providing those services in the most efficient and effective way. Non-essential services must be evaluated for evidence and performance-based outcomes.
