Issue Position: Protecting Kentucky's Agriculture Economy

Issue Position

Brett has been a strong supporter of Kentucky's agricultural community since going to Washington. Brett strongly supports the elimination of the "death tax," which threatens a farmer's ability to leave his land and equipment to his children. Brett has been a leader in helping ensure Kentucky's farmers have access to additional markets for their crops and products.

As a member of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Brett has become a vocal opponent of the Clean Water Restoration Act, which would allow the EPA and other government bureaucrats to regulate all waters in the United States. Brett recognizes the importance of agriculture to the economy of the second district and has created an "Agriculture Advisory Committee" in his office to keep in close contact with agriculture leaders.
