Congress failed to pass a real budget this year. National unemployment hovers near 10%. Tax hikes are on the horizon for small business owners, families and seniors.
And what does Paul Hodes do? He casts a deciding vote for Congress to adjourn until after the elections!
Hard to believe, but it's true. By a razor thin margin, the House voted 210-209 on Wednesday to close up shop and head for the hills. Hodes joined Nancy Pelosi in voting yes.
Paul Hodes has given himself a vacation so that he can campaign full time. But no matter how exaggerated his campaign rhetoric becomes, the fact remains: when he had a choice to fix our economy and get our fiscal house in order, Paul Hodes voted instead to give up and go home.
New Hampshire voters won't forget it.
