Burns' Reaction to State of the Union Address

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Max Burns' (GA-12) issued the following statement in reaction to President Bush's State of the Union Address this evening.
"The President gave a positive and forward thinking speech this evening. He highlighted the extraordinary challenges that our country has faced, and the many remarkable accomplishments that have happened in light of those challenges. We have made significant and irrefutable progress regarding the War on Terror, growth of the economy, healthcare for our seniors, and making sure every child receives excellent education."
"Jobs for Georgians is my number one priority in 2004. It is also important to provide people with the best kind of education possible to prepare a current and future workforce, and it was good to hear that the continued growth of the economy and education are both major priorities to the President as well."
