We need a long-term fix to Medicare reimbursement rates for doctors so that seniors have access to the quality medical care they deserve. If a fair formula is not worked out soon, we face a growing senior population on Medicare and a shrinking pool of doctors taking new Medicare patients. With more efficient use of technology to ferret out cheats and consistent reviews of best medical practices, an answer to funding a fairer system may be found.
