LISA MURKOWSKI RESPONSE TO LET FREEDOM RING, INC RADIO AD

"It's a silly, offensive, grating ad, and I think Alaskans deserve better. I'm a gutsy Alaskan woman fighting for Alaska. The outside group that paid for this ad is making personal attacks rather than discussing the real issues that face our state. Joe Miller's uninformed statements insisting that we cut federal funding for our schools, roads, clinics and other necessary infrastructure are what should be addressed in this campaign.

"This Senate seat DOES belong to the people of Alaska, and outside groups like Let Freedom Ring, Inc. (2207 Concord Pike, Wilmington, Delaware, WA 19803-2908) have no place in our state's politics. Unfortunately, we can expect more nasty, negative campaigning from outfits like these trying to push their way into Alaska's decision. Their interests are not Alaska's interests, and I'm confident our voters know that.

"Some seem to forget that I ran for this seat in 2004 and won decisively. It was a tough but clean and honest campaign. That's what Alaskans expect and deserve."
