Issue Position

I fully support our troops and believe we need to provide them the tools they need to be successful.

Having friends and family members who have been deployed, I understand that when a soldier is deployed, it's not only that soldier making sacrifices, but also that soldier's loved ones, and we need to offer them support.

Additionally, after everything our veterans have done for us, veterans should not need to struggle with lots of government red tape before receiving care, continuing their education or adjusting to civilian life. I will work to ensure the Department of Veterans' Affairs has the resources it needs to do its job well and show America's gratitude to our soldiers for all their service.

We owe our freedom to the brave men and women who protect this nation, and I want to ensure they know how much they are appreciated.
