"The men and women of our armed forces have done everything asked of them in Afghanistan and done it with bravery and honor. When President Bush invaded Iraq on false pretenses, he diverted necessary
resources from our country and it has come at a steep cost.

I agree with President Obama's decision to call for a safe and secure withdrawal of our forces beginning in July of 2011, and if that can be done sooner, I would support it. The Karzai administration must do more to combat corruption and step up to combat insurgents, including the Taliban. There are terrorists now operating out of Yemen, Pakistan, and other parts of the world, and to remain bogged down in Afghanistan would only divert the resources we need to combat terrorism."
