Blog: We Will Never Forget

Statement

Each of us remembers where we were and what we were doing when the tragic news broke that morning. Now, nine years later, it is a day when we pause in remembrance of the victims, their families and loved ones, and offer prayers for them and our service men and women still in harms way as they continue to fight to protect us from terrorists here and abroad.

It is also a day for reflection. As a country, we must stand united to ensure that another "9-11" never happens in our country again. We must stand strong in the face of evil and tirelessly resolve that we will continue the fight against radicals who want to destroy our way of life and our culture.

This morning, I am proud to be leading our Pledge of Allegiance at Ralph Reed's "Faith and Freedom Conference" in Washington, DC. I hope you'll join me now in a moment of silence and prayer for our great nation.
