Johnson Statement on Earning the GOP Nomination for U.S. Senate

Following a convincing victory in the Wisconsin United States Senate GOP primary election today, U.S. Senate Candidate and Oshkosh manufacturer Ron Johnson issued the following statement

"Over the past 16 weeks, I have visited 58 counties, over 150 cities and towns, and personally attended over 350 events. Thousands have joined our campaign, and the vast majority of people I talk to and listen to across the state share my deep love for America and for what it represents. I am deeply humbled by the outpouring of support from across the state and all the volunteers who joined this campaign to make this victory possible.

We've won the primary, but we have a tough election ahead. Senator Feingold and his allies will say anything to cling to their power, that's what out-of-touch career politicians do.

This election is the most important of our lifetimes, so I am asking the primary voters across the state who made this victory possible to get out and talk to family, friends, and neighbors, because this is a fight for our economic future and our fundamental freedom, and it is a fight that we absolutely must win."
