Statement of the Hon. Rosa DeLauro on CWA Workers Strike

Washington, DC - Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) today released the following statement in response to the Communications Workers of America (CWA) strike, set to occur at 12:01 am on Friday, May 21, 2004.

"I am disappointed that the negotiations between SBC and the Communications Workers of America have stalled. I hope the four day warning strike will move the process forward and bring everyone back to the table. It is critical that CWA members are able to strengthen their employment security and preserve their health care benefits."
