Our nation is in a health care debacle. If the members of our U.S. Congress vote in a health care bill they themselves and their families are not even willing nor required to participate in, something is very wrong. The most recent developments are unconstitutional and have jeopardized the opportunity for Americans to get quality health care at competitive prices. The recent health care reform has also betrayed our own military service personnel by making their TriCare plans and benefits nearly obsolete. Less government, more free market competition, and privatization are key to re-writing our nation's health care story. Back government out of health care and give Americans back their choices.
MY PLAN:
Common-Sense Solutions to Fixing the Health Care System
The health care crisis looming before all Americans is caused by the drastically increased costs that are preventing access to medical care, reducing quality of coverage, and leading our nation to bankruptcy through the unfunded Medicare liabilities. The attempted government takeover of 20% of our economy supported by Norm Dicks is not the solution. It is a $2.5 trillion monstrosity that will be put on the backs of our children and grandchildren as part of our burgeoning national debt. The government has no credibility in managing costs or improving quality. Already, we see this new proposal robbing Medicare, penalizing our health care choices, and forcing us to select programs.
Three things I would do differently,
Here are 3 proposals I support that will lower health care costs, improve quality and increase access:
1. Root out the estimated $100 billion in Medicare fraud and abuse.
2. Allow consumers to buy health insurance across state lines.
3. End all monopoly practices and cartels in the health care industry, and allow patients to pool their resources.
