Congressman Gary Peters issued the following statement today in reaction to the murder of four Israelis by the terrorist organization Hamas:
"Yesterday, the terrorist group Hamas murdered four Israeli citizens, including a pregnant woman, in cold blood. These heinous actions were aimed towards Hamas's goal of derailing direct negotiations that begin today in Washington, D.C.
"It is my belief that this despicable act of terrorism should be met by the swift and unified condemnation of the entire international community.
"This Israeli government should be commended for its strength and courage in continuing with negotiations and not letting these terrorists hijack the agenda of those seeking peace and security in the region."
