Issue Position

I support common sense environmental policies that seek to balance human use and needs with effective conservation of our natural environment. I've always had a great love of the outdoors and nature. However I've also seen first-hand how we must set those values against our need for practical use of our natural resources; my experience of working with the US Forest Service for several summers was invaluable in understanding some of the challenges.

I believe that in order to formulate sensible and workable environmental policy, each issue must be taken and considered on an individual basis in order to find the best solution. A "one size fits all" approach simply doesn't work for Eastern Washington, nor the rest of the state.
