Mark Schauer's "Job Loss' Tour in Full Swing

Press Release

Date: Aug. 5, 2010
Location: Tipton, MI

Raise Taxes, Chase Jobs out of Michigan, Spend More, and Borrow What You Can't Pay For

Mark Schauer is touring the 7th District, holding open, unscreened town hall meetings to seek input from citizens on how to create jobs … just kidding. In typical Mark Schauer fashion, after voting for Speaker Pelosi's budget that will increase the national debt by trillions each year, after voting for the failed $862 billion stimulus spending plan, and after voting for and helping to author the trillion dollar government takeover of health care, he is telling citizens how his big government agenda will "move forward" our economy. This is the same Mark Schauer who said in March of 2009 that the $862 billion spending plan "will fuel long-term growth" and on August 23, 2009 that, "We really are in a great position."

"Mark Schauer's big government policies are destroying jobs and mortgaging our children's future. His votes for trillion dollar deficits, a government takeover of health care and a failed $862 billion spending plan are not putting Michigan families and small businesses in a great position," said Tim Walberg.

"Unlike Mark Schauer, I will work to limit government spending, repeal the government takeover of health care and reduce the tax burden to encourage economic growth and job creation. South central Michigan families deserve better than a Congressman who votes for Speaker Nancy Pelosi's big government agenda and then returns to Michigan to brag about the terrible policies he has inflicted upon us," Walberg concluded.
