Incumbent Dem Skips Obama Visit After Repeatedly Rubber-Stamping His Agenda
Small businessman and GOP congressional candidate Austin Scott released the following statement Monday drawing attention to Congressman Jim Marshall's conspicuous absence from President Barack Obama's visit to Atlanta today:
"In Washington, Rep. Marshall has supported the president's job-killing agenda time and again, voting for the failed trillion-dollar "stimulus' and the largest debt ceiling increase in American history; he even opposes repealing ObamaCare," said Scott. "But now that he's back home, Marshall's running away from Obama in a vain attempt to dodge the political consequences and conceal his record. Unfortunately for the congressman, he can't have it both ways. Voters know he's repeatedly stood with the president in Congress, even though he lacks the courage to do so in Georgia."
