Gretchen Whitmer knows government must do more with less. That's why she voted to cut politicians' pay--including her own--by 10%. Gretchen also led the fight to reduce legislative office budgets and end lifetime health care and perks for legislators. Leading by example and serving as a guardian of taxpayer dollars, Whitmer introduced legislation to require financial transparency by state legislators.
