Issues: Veterans
As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps Reserves, and father of a Marine, I will pledge to continue standing with the courageous men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country and their families. They have earned our respect, and we must always fight for them as they have for us.
In the Senate, I will
* Initiate a program -- No Veteran Left Behind -- securing job opportunities, training and education, health care and other services for our veterans.
* Fight to ensure that every veteran receives the benefits, and the respect, he or she has earned.
* Put extra effort into making sure that the post 9/11 era veterans and their families can make the sometimes-difficult transition to life after time in a war zone.
