Issue Position

The best government is an open government. Every occurrence of public corruption New Mexico has witnessed over the past several years would have been easily detectable and preventable, had the information been made public.

Stephanie will work to make government open and accountable to all our citizens. She will work to provide a policy of transparency for all fiscal information. She will work to create a strong and independent ethics commission. In addition, she will work towards creating an Office of Governmental Accountability to hold state agencies responsible for how they are spending our resources and to make all government decisions transparent. Most importantly, she will hold herself accountable to the public.
