Issue Position

Education can only work efficiently and effectively if controlled exclusively by the people and their local communities. No Child Left Behind is the epitome of the federal government's running amok by overstepping its Constitutional boundaries, and sticking its costly and intrusive nose where it has no authority to do so. The federal Department of Education is not mentioned in, or authorized by the Constitution. Thus, the federal Department of Education must be eliminated for the benefit of the republic.
