Washington is at it again. In typical fashion, we're three days into a month-long work period, and little is getting done, since a minority of senators are blocking much-needed progress. Where else besides Washington can people get away with not doing their job?
No more excuses. The Senate needs to take action on tax cuts and unemployment insurance. The time has come to move forward on a clean energy bill and to pass comprehensive immigration reform. We also have to hold accountable the single Senator who is anonymously holding up a bill that would strengthen the investigation into the BP oil spill.
Inaction doesn't cut it in Colorado, and I won't stand for it in Washington. The stakes are just too high right now. I'll work with anyone on either side of the aisle who is willing to roll up their sleeves and clean up this mess
