As a parent Kim is concerned about the education of her children and all the other students in Oregon. She is fought to get rid of bureaucratic programs like the Certificates of Initial and Advanced Mastery. She is currently fighting for outside audits of the expenditures in our schools to make sure more money already allocated for our kids, get to our kids.
She is a strong supporter of offering parents more choices for their children such as charter schools. Kim believes we need to push for increased accountability in our school system. Holding students to higher standards helps them succeed in college and in the work force.
