Keeping Jobs in Colorado

Statement

Buffalo Supply, Inc. is a Lafayette-based, woman-owned small business that supplies high-quality medical products to American soldiers and Veterans. They have a track record of success right here in Colorado, and frequently earn accolades for their services to the Federal Government. In fact, in 2008 they were the 18th largest VA vendor.

Yet in spite of all this, Buffalo Supply recently encountered roadblocks to renewing their long-standing contract with the VA. My office, along with Senator Udall, Congressman Jared Polis, and Congressman Doug Lamborn, stepped in to ask the VA to review the delayed renewal of Buffalo Supply's contract with the VA's National Acquisition Center (NAC). Following our office's communication with the VA, Buffalo Supply's contract was renewed, and 15 employees that had been laid off could get back to work.

I'm glad that we were able to cut through the red tape to so this Colorado business could get back to work. Now they can continue doing what they do best; growing our economy by serving soldiers and veterans.
