Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) today released the following comments regarding President Obama's new President's Export Council:
"I appreciate President Obama's call to double U.S. exports over the next five years. The best way to accomplish this goal is to take action on trade agreements which have been pushed onto the backburner. Unfortunately, approvals of pending trade agreements with countries such as Colombia, South Korea, and Panama have languished. Every day we delay, the more ground our nation and our economy lose to international competitors," Smith said.
