Issue Position

Our government has failed in its obligation to protect seniors. After years of hard work and dedication to this country, seniors deserve to retire without fear of poverty or foreclosure. I fully support efforts in Congress to protect social security from being spent on any other programs. Seniors paid decade's worth of taxes for their future and they deserve to see that money.

I also support legislation to help seniors at risk of foreclosure on their homes. Many seniors have lived in their homes for years and deserve to spend their life enjoying the fruits of their labor. Instead of having Washington pay for tax cuts for big business or higher pay raises with social security, it is time to fully fund social security to help our seniors.
